- On a plate, placed on the column, an inscription: 'Hypocrate Prince des Medecin natif de l'Isle de Cos en Grèce, vivait du tems d'Artaxerxes, Il mourut agé de 104 ans' (Hippocrates prince of doctors was born on the island of Cos in Greece, lived during the time of Artaxerxes, he died at the age of 104'
- On a plate, placed on the column, an inscription: 'Galien natif de Pergame ville d'Asie, excellent médecin vivait du temps des Empereurs Antonin I le philosophe et de Commandus, on tient qu'il a vécu 140 ans' (Galien, born in Pergamon city of Asia, brilliant doctor, lived during the time of Emperors Antonin I the Philosopher and of Commandus, it was said he died at the age of 140'
