The huts have steep layered roofs and open ground-level supports, with stacked objects visible under some of the structures, and one hut extends partially over the water. Boats of different shapes appear in the foreground, including a longer narrow boat with a mast and a smaller canoe-like boat, some with draped fabric or tarps. A solitary figure stands on the shore holding a rectangular object, while another figure walks near the huts and a group of people occupies one of the boats. To the right, vegetation and tree foliage are sketched rising above rocks at the edge of the village, and the entire drawing has light shading and occasional smudges on the paper.
