Several men with varied hats and garments lift or swing wooden clubs and hammers, their faces strained and hair tousled. One figure wearing a tall pointed hat appears recoiling with raised hands, while a fallen helmet and broken wooden crosses lie on the floor amid scattered debris and a severed head. A robed statue or effigy is suspended at the wall, tilted forward and bound with ropes held by two men who pull downward. In the background a figure with outstretched arms stands near the base of a column, and draped fabrics or tapestries hang along the walls, creating textured patterns across the architectural setting.
