The surrounding landscape features rolling hills, scattered trees of similar stylized shape, groves, and cultivated plots, with occasional isolated buildings on hilltops and small boats on inland waterways. The composition includes textured shading, crosshatching, and many tiny drawn people and animals dotted across land and water.
