Numerous cavalry figures on horseback are depicted in motion across the countryside, some in dense groupings and others more scattered, with flags and small banners among them. Rows of infantry formations are shown near the riverbank opposite a camp of tents and grouped soldiers. Hills and clusters of trees appear in the background, and small windmills and isolated buildings dot the plains. The illustration is densely textured with hatched shading and fine linework.
