To the right a woman in a voluminous gown and high ruff stands with her hands clasped, accompanied by another similarly dressed woman and a small child peeking from beside them. Behind the wall a tower with a conical roof and a small flag rises against a sky with clouds, and trees are visible beyond the fortification. The scene is rendered in fine lines and shading, creating detailed textures on clothing, stone, and foliage.
