On the left a large tent with fabric folds and ropes is pitched beneath trees, and several figures near the tent gesture and pull at poles. In the center foreground a mix of seated and standing figures interact, some holding long spears or staffs and others reaching or pointing, with draped garments and varied poses. A figure stands facing away with an outstretched arm, while others kneel or recline on the ground among scattered cloth and objects. To the right a small boat with a curved prow and figures aboard is moored at the water’s edge, with additional boats and oars visible further back. Trees with dense foliage frame the middle ground beneath a striated sky, and a swirling plume of smoke or vapour rises near the water. The scene is rendered with fine hatching and crosshatching, emphasizing texture in clothing, tents, trees, and waves.
