State before the letter., prehistoric grave forms, prehistory, megalithic tomb, Tynaarlo, A vertical print shows two separate horizontal scenes stacked one above the other, each depicting a cluster of large irregular rocks resting on grassy ground; the rocks are rendered with dense parallel and cross-hatched lines creating strong light and dark contrasts and varied textured surfaces, while the grass beneath them is drawn with fine linear strokes; the upper scene features a long, low grouping of rocks with a clear horizon line and some distant low vegetation, and the lower scene shows a more compact, contorted pile of stones with pronounced shadows and a strip of detailed grass at the base, all presented on a pale background.
