Below this, a sculpted male figure reclines on a curved ornamental support, holding a long rod and leaning against a circular wreath that contains a bearded portrait bust; the figure is muscular with flowing hair and a draped cloth. Surrounding elements include braided garlands, carved scrollwork, fluted and patterned horizontal bands, and repeated egg-and-dart or laurel-like motifs, with dense crosshatching and fine linework defining form and shadow across the composition.
