(I have not been able to locate this work, DH)., Person, Arnold van Egmond (Duke of Gelre), Samson goes with a kid to his wife and is refused entry by her father, Burgundian period in the Netherlands, Period, A detailed black and white engraving shows a robed man with curly hair and a beard standing near an architectural doorway, wearing ornate patterned sleeves and a decorated belt with a sheathed sword at his side; he raises one hand toward a wooden panel where an older bearded man peers through an opening, gripping the edge of the panel with both hands, and a younger figure stands slightly behind the robed man looking toward the doorway, while the surrounding scene includes carved stone columns, an arched recess, and finely crosshatched textures throughout.
