A man in a coat and breeches bows toward the women, bending forward with one hand near the outstretched arm and the other holding a cane. Behind them are leafy trees, a tall slender spire or obelisk, and garden plants including a drooping willow-like tree and clustered flowers. The foreground shows textured ground and the lower edge of the engraving contains a band with printed lines and ornamental lettering.
