In the middle distance a stone bridge with multiple arches spans a body of water, partially obscuring buildings and a tower with architectural details behind it. Rolling hills or a mountain rise in the background beneath a lined sky. In the right foreground a dog stands over another animal lying on the ground beside an overturned vessel or basket with loose contents spilling out. Various low plants and textured ground cover occupy the foreground. The overall image is rendered with fine etched lines and crosshatching.
