A draped curtain hangs to the left, partially covering the frame and pooling on a ledge beneath it. On the ledge a cylindrical container lies on its side with several round balls spilled out nearby, and a small baton-like object rests against the frame. The image is rendered in fine, closely spaced engraved lines and crosshatching, creating tonal shading and texture throughout.
