Second part, 1787., Person, Engelbert François van Berckel, A framed engraved portrait of a man with curled hair pulled back, wearing a dark coat with buttons and a lace cravat, set within an ornate rectangular frame and hung against a textured wall; to the left a draped cloth partially covers the frame, and below the frame a carved ledge holds a quill in an inkwell, a folded sheet of paper with a wax seal, an open book leaning against the ledge, and a rolled umbrella or cane resting at the side.
