Volume XXVIII., Person, Jonkheer Willem Bloys van Treslong, An engraved portrait of a man shown from the chest up within an oval frame set into a rectangular architectural panel; he has a high forehead, neatly combed hair, a curled mustache and pointed beard, and a composed facial expression; he wears a large pleated ruff collar, a richly patterned doublet with decorative buttons down the front, and a textured sash draped over his shoulder; the oval frame has multiple concentric rings and sits above a rectangular plinth with carved panels and linear shading.
