On this sheet the legend to the central map, in Latin., printmaker, writer (clerical worker), France, Charles Delorme, paper, engraving, height 583 mm, width 163 mm, Île de Ré, Period, 1627, A tall, narrow printed page with a decorative border and ornate corner scrollwork, topped by a large title in capital letters; below the title is a subtitle in smaller capitals and a short line of centered text. The main body consists of a vertical list of handwritten entries in neat cursive, each beginning with a small symbol or mark in the left margin and spaced with faint horizontal guide lines. The script varies slightly in size and slant but remains consistent, with occasional flourishes and abbreviated marks. The paper shows a slightly aged, off-white tone with small specks and faint foxing. At the bottom center there is a small floral or ribbon ornament integrated into the border. The overall layout is symmetrical with ruled lines and margins, and the ink is a dark brown or black that contrasts with the background.
