To the left a woman raises an arm and looks outward beside another standing figure, and several seated and reclining figures cluster around them with varied expressions and postures. A sheet or sail is stretched behind the central figures, catching light and creating contrast with a dark sky. On the right, a man in a cap stands while others sit or lean, including a seated man facing the group. Scattered on the ground are more reclining bodies and bundles, with textured ground and waves suggested in the background. A faint moonlike shape appears in the sky above the standing figures.
