In the foreground a shepherd figure sits near a tree holding a staff, surrounded by grazing sheep and goats scattered across a gently sloping pasture. Bushes and flowering plants appear near the lower edge, and faint architectural ruins or small buildings are visible on distant hills. The overall image is rendered with fine line work and shaded washes.
