These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., sea (seascape), Bacchus finds Ariadne on Naxos, coast - HH - ideal landscapes, Naxos, A sepia-toned landscape drawing depicting a shoreline scene with large, leafy trees framing both sides, clusters of bushes and grasses in the foreground, and a gently sloping bank leading down to water where small rowboats and sailing ships are visible; a seated woman in classical dress reclines on the grass near the shore, nearby grazing animals appear in the meadow, distant buildings and towers line the far shore, and soft cloud formations fill the sky.
