These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards: Cleopas and Peter meet Christ (sometimes they are dressed as pilgrims), river - HH - ideal landscapes, city-view, and landscape with man-made constructions - II - ideal landscapes, A sepia-toned landscape drawing shows a river scene with trees of varied shapes and dense foliage framing the view; a tall palm-like tree stands on the right while broad-leaved trees occupy the left and center. In the middle distance a stone bridge with multiple arches spans the river, and beyond it a hill rises crowned by a cluster of fortified buildings and towers set among trees. In the foreground three robed figures stand with their backs turned, one pointing toward the distant hill, while nearby smaller figures and a child sit or move along the riverbank. Grazing animals appear on grassy slopes, and a small boat with occupants is on the water. Wispy clouds and a few flying birds are sketched in the sky above. The drawing is rendered with fluid pen lines and wash shading, showing textured ground, foliage, and architectural details.
