These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., cattle, punishment of Marsyas: he is flayed by Apollo, (high) hill - HH - ideal landscapes, A sepia-toned landscape drawing showing a wide sky with layered clouds and small birds, a distant horizon with faint hills and a riverside plain, and a rocky cliff with terraces and a small classical building. In the foreground a grove of large, twisting trees with dense foliage occupies the left side, while grouped bushes and trees sit on the right near a bridge crossing a stream. Several human figures are scattered across the scene, some seated and some standing, including a seated figure gesturing and a reclining figure on the ground. Herd animals, including cows and oxen, stand or lie near the water and on the banks. The composition features textured shading, fine linework for leaves and clouds, and rocky ground with scattered stones and plants.
