These were published bound in two volumes from 1777 onwards., landscape with ruins, temple, shrine, Roman religion, Rome, Colosseum, Temple of Jupiter Stator, A sepia-toned landscape drawing shows tall classical columns and ruined stone structures on both sides, with leafy trees behind the right-hand ruins. In the foreground there are several cows and a goat being led along a dirt path by two standing figures, while two seated figures rest on the ground nearby. Further back a group of animals grazes on a gentle hillside and round-arched ruins sit on the slope. Scattered fallen architectural fragments lie near the bases of the standing ruins and a barrel-shaped object rests on the ground. The sky is lightly sketched with wispy clouds.
