Draped fabric hangs above the central group, and steps lead up to the platform where a few figures kneel or lean forward. To the lower right a seated figure faces the platform and a basin or large bowl sits nearby. On the left a line of standing figures forms a procession, and at the lower foreground a person bends forward with a basket. The drawing is rendered in fine, flowing lines and cross-hatching on a light paper background.
