Schatkamer der Nederlandse oudheden, of woordenboek, behelsende Nederlands steden en dorpen, kasteelen, sloten en heeren huysen (…). Amsterdam: Pieter de Coup, 1711, between pp. 316 and 317. It is also possible that this print comes from the second (1737) or third (1774) edition, or from an edition containing only the prints: Nederlandsche oudheden, bestaan in zeskelijk verbeeldingen, gelegen in Holland, 't Sticht van Utrecht en Gelderland enz. Amsterdam: Hendrik Bosch, 1721., ruin of a dwelling, house, castle, Rotterdam, Overschie, Kasteel Spangen, An ink drawing of a crumbling stone structure with tall broken walls and a central square tower, showing window openings and arched remnants, surrounded by low vegetation and scattered bushes, with a body of water in the foreground where a few ducks swim, a sparse tree at one side, and birds flying in the sky above faint horizontal cloud lines.
