In these books, however, the print is printed on a page with text, with text also on the verso. That is not the case with this copy. This may be a later, separately published print., sailing-ship, sailing-boat, hotel, hostelry, inn, bridge in city across river, canal, rowing facing backward, pulling, Oude Stadsherberg, A detailed monochrome engraving shows a waterfront scene with a large multi-story building with a steep roof, chimneys, dormer windows, and a small pediment above a central window, set behind a wooden pier and fenced area; a raised drawbridge structure and smaller shedlike buildings stand along the pier, where many small figures walk and stand; several rowboats and small sailing boats are on the water near the pier, some with occupants; a long wooden boardwalk runs diagonally across the foreground with more figures walking along it and boats moored alongside; a ribbonlike banner floats in the sky above the scene and hatched shading fills the sky and water areas.
