Amsterdam: Hendrik Gartman, Willem Vermandel and Jan Willem Smit, 1786-1792. Published in installments, each with its own bifolium and table of contents. All prints in this publication were engraved by Carel Frederik Bendorp (I) and, in most cases, are based on drawings by Jan Bulthuis. Later, the print was published as part of a plate work from ca. 1824-1825 containing 74 (unnumbered) plates of the most important topographical views and various customs and habits in the United Kingdom of the Netherlands, entitled 'Tableau des principales vues des palais et édifices : représentations et des coutumes et usages, dans les provinces septentrionales du Royaume des Pays-Bas'. For the other prints from 'Vaderlandsche gezichten' that were reused for this plate work, a second French title was added, resulting in two different states. It is unclear whether this also applies to this print.
