Near the foreground there are wheeled wagons and a wooden framed cart, and a large canvas tent with a tall pole and a flag. To one side a cluster of woven dome-shaped huts sits beneath trees, and a dense stand of trees rises behind the tent. Small animals and livestock graze or rest on the ground, and a few figures sit or recline near tools and equipment. In the middle distance more people and animals are visible across the plain, with tiny groups clustered around tasks. A low range of mountains appears along the horizon under a sky filled with layered, textured clouds and several small birds in flight.
