Surrounding the building are dense canopies of trees with intricate foliage, a tall tree trunk in front of the facade, and a gated archway set in a brick wall leading into a shaded courtyard with a fountain or circular feature. On the street in front of the scene are two people handling barrels and a small cart with an animal, and another person walking while two children sit or play on the ground. The overall image is rendered in fine linework with sepia tones and detailed textures on stone, foliage, and clothing.
