The sky above is filled with crosshatched clouds. The house has a symmetrical facade with a central doorway, windows, a balcony, and chimneys with a wisp of smoke. Sculpted urns and statues appear near the entrance and within the garden beds. People in period dress are scattered along the path and near the parterres, some walking in pairs, others standing or seated, and a figure on horseback is visible at the right edge. In the foreground three figures sit at the base of the scene, and two figures push a wheelbarrow along the front border. The overall palette is monochrome with detailed line work and shading.
