Present State of the United Netherlands, 1753, vol. 10, between p. 168 and 169., town hall, square, circus, etc. (city(-scape) with figures, staffage), Veere, Stadhuis (Veere), A sepia-toned etched city scene showing a row of tall brick buildings with stepped gables and arched windows, a central ornate building with a balcony and a short flight of steps leading to an entrance, and a tower with a spire and decorative clock rising above the rooftops; people in period dress stand and walk across the street, some clustered near market stalls with striped awnings on the right, while others gather near tables and small structures on the left; the sky is filled with finely hatched clouds and horizontal lines.
