Amsterdam: Hendrik Bosch, 1721., castle, landscape with tower or castle (city(-scape) with figures, staffage), Gorinchem, Arkel, A detailed pen-and-ink drawing of a fortified complex by water featuring a large round tower with multiple tiers, decorative rooflines, and crenellated upper walls, adjacent rectangular buildings with arched windows and a steep roof topped by a slender spire crowned with a cross, several smaller turrets and battlements, an enclosed garden area with geometric planting beds, and a waterfront promenade where small groups of people walk or stand and a person on horseback is present; the background shows a flat landscape with clusters of trees and horizontal sky lines.
