The other prints in this series are, as indicated on the title page, by Jan van Call (I)., city-view, and landscape with man-made constructions, civic architecture, edifices, dwellings, The Hague, Vijverberg, Buitenhof, Hofvijver, A wide riverside scene rendered in a monochrome etching shows tall trees with dense canopies lining a walkway by the water, their trunks rising from a shaded path where small groups of people in period clothing walk and stand. Across the water sits a row of closely set buildings with varied rooflines, chimneys, and architectural details including a large structure with tall arched windows and towers with spires. Reflections of the buildings and trees appear on the river surface, and clouds are sketched in the sky above. The foreground includes a railing along the path and figures leaning or conversing near it, while the etched texture and crosshatching create tonal variations throughout the image.
