Several figures are seated or kneeling on the ground, wearing draped garments, with one central seated woman holding an infant wrapped in cloth while another woman reaches toward the child. Other adults around them gesture or look on, some leaning on or pointing from a nearby balustrade. Above, clouds fill the upper left, and cherubic infants float within the clouds. Through an archway in the distance two small standing figures appear on a shoreline under radiant light, and a bird is depicted flying near the light. The scene includes textured stone walls, pillars, and detailed crosshatching throughout the composition.
