Small groups of figures stand and walk beneath the arches, some clustered near the foreground and others farther back. Two seated figures appear in silhouette at the lower right, facing the ruin. Vegetation including overhanging foliage and small trees clings to parts of the structure, and the sky visible through the arches is lined with fine horizontal shading. The image has areas of brownish staining and aged paper texture around the edges.
