Between 1739 and 1804, a series of 23 volumes of 'Present State of the United Netherlands' was published by the Amsterdam publisher Isaak Tirion, a collection largely by Jan Wagenaar. These 23 volumes were part of a much larger work, the 'Hedendaagsche historie of tegenwoordige staat van alle volken', the first volume of which appeared in 1729. Both series have their own numbering: volumes 1 to 23 of the series on the United Netherlands are numbered 11 to 33 of the Tegenwoordige staat van alle volken. The print comes from a scrapbook containing title pages, ornaments, etc. on blue paper that was disassembled in 1983.
