Print from a scrapbook with title prints, ornaments, etc. on blue paper, disassembled in 1983. According to a note on the verso, the print was located on p. 109 of this album., Person, Totila (king of the Ostrogoths), 'Historia', cupids: 'amores', 'amoretti', 'putti', A detailed etched scene framed by an ornate decorative border shows a group of figures in a landscape with trees and a distant pagoda-like building; in the foreground a seated woman reclines with an open book on her lap while another woman kneels holding a long rolled sheet; two childlike winged figures sit on the ground holding small objects and a third small figure reaches toward the sheet; behind the kneeling woman stand three robed figures and a man holding a parasol among foliage; palms and tall grasses appear near the middle ground and a hilly landscape stretches toward the horizon under a sky with clouds; sculpted architectural elements and carved scrollwork form the frame around the scene.
