Print originating from a scrapbook with title pages, ornaments, etc. on blue paper, disassembled in 1983. According to a note on the verso, the print was located on p. 108 of this album. Person, Hannibal Barca, commander-in-chief, general, marshal, globe, cities represented allegorically or symbolically, specific aspects of Saturn, Saturn as patron, North Africa, Carthage, A detailed engraved scene framed by ornate architectural borders shows a group of classical figures gathered around a large spherical object placed on a pedestal, with one armored figure holding a pole or staff pressed against the sphere and a robed figure with a crown reaching toward it; behind them stand additional clothed figures, one holding a thin rod. Cherubic figures appear at the top corners and bottom, two of them seated on the frame and another holding a large scroll-like object; medallions with carved designs sit near the top corners and a circular portrait within a decorative cartouche crowns the composition. To the left of the main group a landscape with trees recedes into the distance and a large elephant is visible among small distant figures, while drapery and column elements form the backgroun
