Print originating from a scrapbook with title prints, ornaments, etc. on blue paper, disassembled in 1983. According to a note on the verso, the print was located on p. 107 of this album., drawing, crown (symbol of sovereignty), monarchy, 'Monarchia mondana' (Ripa), A detailed engraved scene framed by ornate scrollwork and decorative medallions shows classical architecture with tall columns and an archway in the background, a crowded street with many figures, and a central group in the foreground where robed individuals interact around an easel displaying a painted face while a seated figure works with tools nearby; smaller framed vignettes line the sides depicting various scenes of people in action, and a circular portrait medallion tops the composition, with ornamental flourishes and cartouches occupying the corners and lower portion of the image.
