The text is framed by scrollwork., printmaker: Simon Frisius, Haarlem, after design by Jan van de Velde (I), Rotterdam, dedicated to: Jan Olis, 1605, paper, engraving, gravure, height 210 mm x width 320 mm, calligraphy, A sheet filled with dark ink flourishes and cursive strokes on an off-white, slightly textured background, showing dense, looping ornamental lines that sweep across the page and interlace with finer, tightly written calligraphic lines clustered toward the upper center and right. The left side is dominated by broad, overlapping spirals and large curved strokes that extend toward the center, while the lower portion contains additional sweeping loops that weave together. The right edge features a vertical line of elegant, flowing script interspersed with decorative swirls, and the surface shows small paper blemishes and faint age marks.
