Not all pasticci have survived., adoration of the kings: the Wise Men present their gifts to the Christ-child (gold, frankincense and myrrh), A detailed black and white engraving shows a group of people gathered around a seated woman holding an infant, with an older man leaning toward them from the left under a roofed structure and a ladder visible against the dark interior; a kneeling figure reaches toward the baby while other standing men in varied garments and headwear look on, one holding a container and another holding a long staff near a horse whose head is visible; rolling hills and distant riders appear in the background under a lined sky with clouds, and a small ornate vessel rests on the ground in the foreground.
