Not all pasticci have survived., the head of John the Baptist on a platter, A monochrome engraving shows a young woman with curly hair tied with a ribbon at the top, wearing a square-necked dress with decorative trim and a pendant at her throat, holding a shallow dish that contains a severed head with closed eyes and curly hair; to her side a bearded man with curly hair and a mustache looks toward the head, and the figures are set against a dark, stippled background with detailed crosshatching on their faces and clothing.
