In the foreground a bridge spans water and a shoreline with vegetation curves around. Five human figures are arranged near two horses: one person sits on horseback holding a long staff with decorative elements and wears a wide-brimmed hat, another rides a second horse and pulls back on a bow, a third stands in front of the mounted figure with a bundle and a quiver on their back, a fourth kneels by the water holding a dish of fish, and a fifth sits behind the mounted figure smiling and wearing a conical cap. The horses are bridled and saddled, with one animal shown in profile and the other facing slightly toward the viewer. There are decorative banners or plumes attached to some of the staffs and simple clothing details rendered with fine linework throughout the scene.
