On either side of the central frame are mirrored female busts with curled hair and decorative necklaces entwined with the foliage. Stylized lion or grotesque masks emerge from the scrolling foliage above and below, their faces integrated into the swirling leaf forms. Delicate floral sprigs and curled tendrils accent the outer edges of the composition, and finely hatched shading defines the contours and volume of the leaves, figures, and masks.
