Behind the tree, a flat light-colored background stretches horizontally, interrupted by silhouetted low hills and clustered shapes suggesting distant structures. Along the lower middle ground, small dark figures stand and walk near rows of round canopies and linear architectural elements. The ground beneath the tree shows visible root forms and shaded patches, and the overall image is rendered in fine, detailed pen-and-ink or etching style with varied linework and crosshatching.
