The title has been pasted higher up. The image has been supplemented at the top with a painted sky., castle, Castle of Madrid, A large multi-story stone building with a steep blue-gray roof and many chimneys stands near the bottom of the image, flanked by small turrets and arched windows; a low wall and gate structures extend from its sides. Small groups of people in period dress walk and gather on a sandy foreground in front of the building. Trees and low vegetation appear at the edges of the scene, with distant rolling hills beyond. The sky above is broad and filled with layered pastel clouds in shades of pink, purple, blue, and yellow.
