In the foreground two partially clothed figures stand at the water's edge beside the boat, one seated on the hull and the other standing, both holding garments. Behind them are clustered huts or sheds with draped cloth, a chimney, and a pathway leading between trees where a lone figure is visible in the distance. The sky is crosshatched and clouded, and the overall composition features intricate linework and textured shading throughout.
