Presumably listed as catalogue number 72., bridge in city across river, canal, etc. (city(-scape) with figures, staffage), evening, Venice, A vertical grayscale drawing shows a narrow canal scene flanked by tall, dark buildings. A softly lit bridge arches across the canal near the middle, with a small, dark boat and a figure beneath it on the water. Reflections of light ripple along the canal surface leading toward the foreground. A pale, rectangular building with a single window faces the canal on the left middle distance, while darker, textured facades rise on either side. A small, glowing streetlamp is visible on the right side near the bridge, and distant architectural outlines fade into the background. The image has a grainy, charcoal-like texture throughout.
