The print is loose in an album, see page 22., printmaker: Bernhard Schreuder, after drawing by Karel van Mander (I), supervision: Cornelis Ploos van Amstel, Amsterdam, 1772 - 1774, paper, print drawing, etching, roulette, hand coloring, etching and roulette, some gray tones applied with the brush, height 168 mm x width 135 mm, lute, and special forms of lute, eg: theorbo, interior of the house, A monochrome drawing shows two people in ornate period clothing playing stringed instruments that resemble lutes; one person is standing on the left wearing a plumed hat, a ruffled collar, a long cloak, and breeches while holding a large instrument across their body, and the other is seated on the right wearing a high ruffled collar and a voluminous gown while cradling a similar instrument. The interior setting includes paneled walls, a tall decorative bedpost or carved wooden structure behind the seated figure, patterned floor coverings, a framed wall panel with abstract shapes, a window with multiple panes at the back, and carved furniture details. The figures have stylized facial features and curly hair, and the drawing uses shading and line work to indicate folds in fabric, carved ornamentation, and the rounded bodies of the instruments.
