On the front page of the publication titled: De Penning der Weduwe., offertory-box, offertory-bag, widow, A detailed black-and-white etched scene shows three figures standing around a tall rectangular wooden box with carved decorative motifs; the central figure wears a wide-brimmed hat and a richly textured coat and looks forward, the figure to the left wears an elaborate patterned gown with a tall headdress and fur-trimmed sleeves, and the figure to the right is cloaked with a hooded head covering and a long dark robe reaching the floor, one hand extended toward the top of the box.
