On the front page of the publication titled: De Penning der Weduwe., offertory-box, offertory-bag, widow, A monochrome line drawing shows three robed figures standing around a tall rectangular wooden box with metal fittings and decorative motifs; two figures on the left wear patterned heavy garments and elaborate headwear, one with a fur-edged robe and ornate patterned skirt and the other with a hat and embroidered cloak, both looking toward the figure on the right, who is hooded and leans forward to place something into the slot of the box while wearing a long cloak with contrasting bands on the sleeves and hem; the background depicts arched architectural openings and ribbed vaulting.
